In July, fashion icon Margaret Howell in Wigmore Street, London hosted the Open-City debate “To build or not to build: that is the Green Belt question”. Rowan Moore (architecture critic for the Observer, argued for building on the Green Belt to help relieve the housing shortage) while Neil Sinden (director of CPRE London) argued against. John Grindrod who was brought up on the Green Belt acted the Chair.
